Warranty
The manufacturer warrants that all products are free from defects. Most of our mufflers* are warranted against blowouts and defects in material & workmanship, for as long as the original purchaser owns the vehicle, on which it was originally installed. The warranty is void if the muffler is not installed properly on the vehicle for which it is designed.
This warranty does not apply to any muffler which has been installed on any commercial or racing vehicle, vehicles that have been remapped or which have been improperly installed, altered, or subjected to misuse or damage from accidents. In addition, the cost of labour and any additional parts required to complete the installation of a replacement muffler are not covered by this warranty.
Our catalytic converters come with a standard 12-month warranty covering the casing if it cracks. However, if the core of the catalytic converter breaks, it is often due to an underlying issue with the vehicle. It is crucial to resolve any engine problems or check sensors before replacing a broken converter to avoid recurring issues.
Please note, our catalytic converters are designed for OEM engines and ECUs. Installing them on vehicles with tuned ECUs, or those fitted with aftermarket superchargers or turbochargers, will void the warranty. Similarly, any enhancements to the vehicle’s power beyond the manufacturer's specifications will also result in a warranty void.
Additionally, if your vehicle has high emissions issues, our catalytic converters are not intended to correct these problems. They are designed to operate under standard conditions as specified by the OEM.
For a warranty to be valid, customers should provide proof of purchase; failure to do so will invalidate any warranty. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Proof of purchase MUST be presented to the service outlet from which you originally purchased the muffler, or any participating dealer when making a claim for replacement. The original muffler must also be returned for repair or exchanged for a new muffler of the same part number if a repair is not possible.
No other warranty, expressed or implied (including merchantability), applies to the mufflers, nor is any person or the manufacturer authorised to assume any other warranty. The manufacturer does not assume any responsibility for any consequential damages occasioned by the muffler, or inconvenience or interruption in any operation.
This warranty provides you with specific legal rights, alongside others which you may claim to.
Should a claim need to be made under the warranty it is the owner's responsibility to contact the right company; if the item is a MagnaFlow part, then contact MagnaFlow head office directly to resolve the issue; it is also the owner’s responsibility to pay for any removal or postage costs incurred.
All other items sold under the Profusion Brand come with a limited lifetime warranty of 12 months from the date of purchase* unless specified.
